Poked with eight needles

That`s right! I got poked with eight long, sharp needles!!! Well, OK, they were not that long, but they were sharp alright!I felt every prick.
Why did I do that to myself? One word – Acupuncture.┬áThat`s right. I am the first in my family to try this 5,000 years old treatment.
You see, I was speaking to a friend the other day, and he mentioned an acupuncturist he had been seeing for awhile. Said the guy is amazing, and that he helped him a lot with anxiety and depression.

I do not suffer from anything serious, but I am Miss Curiosity. Like, WHY needle poking helps with stress, according to my friend? Anyway, today I challenged myself, and got two in each leg, and two in each arm. It hurt a bit at first, but then the sensations faded away, and I dosed off for twenty-five minutes.
Did I leave feeling fantastic, amazing or ”cured” from my ailments? No, I did not. But come to think of it, on my way back home my feet and hands felt really warm, which is a rare thing for me.

I think I`ll give it a try for a few weeks, see if it changes anything. Need to check with my insurance though, cause this stuff is expensive.

By the way, did you guys know that our bodies have as many acu-points, as there are days in a year? That`s right. It`s 365! There is even one point (somewhere on a head) that controls appetite! Now, that sounds interesting. Stick a needle in your scalp, and save money on groceries! Not to mention the benefits of weight loss that comes after… I think I`ll ask my acupuncturist where it is at, the next time I see him.
Keep you posted.
